Our Policy

All apparel sold through Match Directing is custom-produced to your specifications. Because items are made-to-order, all sales are final. We do not accept returns or exchanges for:

  • Incorrect size or color selection
  • Change of mind or preference
  • Items that don’t fit as expected
  • Color, design, or appearance concerns

Manufacturing Defects

We will replace defective items at no cost. Eligible defects include:

  • Incorrect item or design printed
  • Misprint, placement errors, or print quality issues
  • Damage, tears, or material defects upon arrival
  • Stitching or construction issues affecting wearability

Ineligible issues:

  • Color variation (minor differences are normal)
  • Slight placement variations (within ¼ inch)
  • Shrinkage or fit changes after washing
  • Fading or wear from normal use
  • Damage from customer handling after delivery

How to Report a Defect

Email [email protected] with:

  1. Subject: “Merchandise Defect”
  2. Order Number
  3. Description of the issue
  4. At least 2 clear photos showing the defect

Important: Claims must be submitted within 14 days of delivery.

What Happens Next

  • We review your claim within 5 business days
  • Approved defects receive a free replacement
  • Replacement ships via standard ground carrier
  • We’ll explain any denied claims in writing

Refunds

Refunds for cancelled orders or approved defect claims are issued to your original payment method within 5–10 business days after approval. Allow an additional 3–5 business days for your bank to credit your account.

Sale items

Only regular priced items may be refunded. Sale items cannot be refunded.

Exchanges

We only replace items if they are defective or damaged. If you need to exchange it for the same item, send us an email at {email address} and send your item to: {physical address}.

Gifts

If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be mailed to you.

If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver and they will find out about your return.

Shipping returns

To return your product, you should mail your product to: {physical address}.

You will be responsible for paying for your own shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable. If you receive a refund, the cost of return shipping will be deducted from your refund.

Depending on where you live, the time it may take for your exchanged product to reach you may vary.

If you are returning more expensive items, you may consider using a trackable shipping service or purchasing shipping insurance. We don’t guarantee that we will receive your returned item.
